In 2008 I took a position helping launch and direct Growing Home for the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority. The program aims to beautify Katrina-damaged neighborhoods by helping residents green properties abandoned after the storm. I work directly with residents to transform vacant lots into gardens. Through the course of a multi-step process, I work families and individuals to design and create a green space that meets their needs and budget.  Here are a bunch of pictures I've taken of participants during our first meeting...proud and resilient people.
